Volunteers

Pack Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers for our Wasaga Beach and Collingwood pack operations on the third Wednesday morning each month. In Wasaga Beach at the Lion’s Den Recplex Hall and in Collingwood at the Legion:

• Volunteers should be physically fit and able to lift 15lbs to 20lbs or up to 40lbs if unloading produce from the truck.  We have other roles that do not require heavy lifting, but our need is greatest for those who can unload the produce at this time.
• Assist with packing produce bags, unloading produce, room set up/tear down and customer pick up’s.
• Highschool students welcome, we can sign off on volunteer hour requirement forms.

Wasaga Beach Pack Coordinator: The Wasaga Beach pack needs a community-minded volunteer who enjoys working with people and encouraging healthy eating to organize and supervise the Wasaga Beach Good Food Box pack each month. Click here for more details.

Social Media Administrator: We need a community-minded volunteer who has a flair for interactive technology and enjoys encouraging healthy eating to coordinate and manage our growing social media community. Click here for more details.

Board Member: We rely 100% on volunteers to operate our program and we’ve reached the point on our Board of Directors where too few are doing too much work. We need new faces and fresh perspectives to ensure that the Good Food Box Program survives and thrives. If you have treasury and finance skills, note-taking and report writing skills, or general governance and committee skills, we encourage you to inquire how you might become a member of our Board. The future of the Good Food Box Program depends upon participation of passionate volunteers!
