Welcome to the Georgian Good Food Box Program!
The Georgian Good Food Box is a non-profit buying club that purchases fresh fruits and vegetables for distribution in Southern Georgian Bay monthly.
January 2022 Cancellation Update
January 5th 2022
We have decided, in line with current Public Health and Government restrictions to suspend our January 2022 order and pack cycle owing to limitations on available packing sites, order locations and indoor gathering sizes.
We sincerely regret that we will not be in operation for January, as we know many of you depend on our produce; however, we need to balance the safety and well-being of everyone.
Here is what you need to know:
- Any orders already placed/paid for are credited to February 2022, or the next month we are operational, given the changing nature of this situation.
- We will provide updates on our program status through the following channels:
- Email updates (sign up on our website for mailing list updates)
- Facebook (follow us @GeorgianGoodFoodBox)
- Our ggfb.ca website.
Joan will be calling Collingwood customers with orders placed/paid for to confirm whether you prefer refund or credit to next month.
As always, if you have questions you can contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone, 705-445-9660.
We want to thank you for your patience and support in these challenging times. We hope we will be back to providing you with the excellent and affordable produce you know and love, very soon. In the meantime, take care and stay healthy. We will get through this!
Georgian Good Food Box
Board of Directors
Because we purchase the produce wholesale, the cost and quality are far better than that which you would purchase in a traditional grocery store. In the winter months, our large box is worth about $25 retail, and you get it for $18!!
(There is a small additional charge for online orders)
Board Of Directors Position: Treasurer
We are recruiting for the position of Treasurer to sit on our Volunteer Board of Directors. The role of the treasurer includes tracking and maintaining all financial records for the non-profit, issuing payments and year end financial reporting. The time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per month, including one board meeting monthly. If you have experience in bookkeeping, financial record keeping or accounting, we would love to hear from you. Criminal and personal references may be required.
Our board meets monthly for 1-2 hours on the Tuesday following pick up date, in Collingwood, Wasaga Beach or Stayner, or virtually.
For more information, please email email@example.com or contact Joan Leonard, Board Vice-Chair, at 705-445-9660.
