Welcome to the Georgian Good Food Box Program!

The Georgian Good Food Box is a non-profit buying club that purchases fresh fruits and vegetables for distribution in Southern Georgian Bay monthly.

ORDER HERE

Because we purchase the produce wholesale, the cost and quality are far better than that which you would purchase in a traditional grocery store. In the winter months, our large box is worth about $25 retail, and you get it for $18!!

(There is a small additional charge for online orders)

We have resumed operations as of July 2021

Please join our email mailing list below to be notified of any changes in program status, news, reminders and updates.

Important Message to our volunteers

As a volunteer with the Georgian Good Food Box, we would like to thank you for your service and commitment to our organization, particularly throughout the pandemic.  Recently, the provincial government instituted a proof of covid-19 vaccine system in select settings.  Because we do not own our packing locations, we must comply with both the requirements of our pack sites, and the requirements outlined by our insurance provider and provincial government.  Doing so ensures we all can safely pack and distribute the good food bags each month.

Beginning with the October 20th pack, all volunteers will be asked to confirm their vaccination status as fully vaccinated or not.  Fully vaccinated is defined as two doses, with the second dose more than 14 days ago. Please bring proof of vaccination with you to the pack.
We will not be able to welcome volunteers who are not fully vaccinated into our pack locations to assist with indoor packing.
If you are fully vaccinated and able to assist with the pack, please let your pack site coordinator know.  If you are not fully vaccinated but would like to still assist in an outdoor or remote role (such as transporting bags or managing pick up lists), please let your pack site coordinator know.
We will continue to require all volunteers to wear a mask, maintain social distancing wherever possible, sanitize hands and complete screening questions on arrival.
We want to thank you for your patience as we navigate these new requirements.  We hope that we can all safely gather soon and, in the meantime, please take good care.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our board via our email address gfoodbox@gmail.com.
Thank you, Georgian Good Food Box Board of Directors
